Harvard Sailing Team

Have you heard about the amazing Harvard Sailing Team?
Well. They're not a sailing team.
And not from Harvard.
They're a comedy group.
From New York.
And they are
HILARIOUS.

I seriously have become a YouTube addict just because of their videos.
They've got some genius stuff.
I just thought I would share with you some of my favorite videos of them :)

This next one is kinda sad.
But sooo funny. :)

Hope you enjoy. :)
You can look them up on YouTube to see the rest of their videos.

That's it for now! :)
Bye Cupcake!

December 10, 2010

Christmas is here! Christmas is here! Christmas is finally here... I've been waiting all year!

It's almost that time of year.
I feel like I've got more Christmas spirit this year than I have in a LOONG time.
It's wonderful.

I do believe that Harding is the main reason for having this Christmas spirit.
They just make it special. :)

Ain't it pretty? :)
It would probably look better if I had a better camera.

Along with the lights, Harding will put on special events
with Christmas music, carriage rides, and lots of hot cocoa. :)
Perfect.
I even watched the first half of "It's a Wonderful Life".
I should probably finish it sometime soon.

I got a Christmas card from our ChiO beaux today. :)
Made my day.
Love them!

Along with all that Harding does to get me in the Christmas spirit,
I also have some awesome friends who celebrate the holidays with me!!
Elf, decorating Christmas cookies, and ChiO sisters.
Best. Time. Ever.

Here's just a summary of our process with our cookies. :)

The coolest looking cookies ever.
Delicious too. :)

Final product. Delicious.
And finally, our cutout cookies.

Roomies! (just thought I would add this in here)

Lauren's beautiful snowman cookie.
Lauren drawing my face on a cookie!
(That's supposed to be me)
Me and Lauren's cookies :)
Mere's stocking!
Our "cookie log"... yeah... looks like pizza.
So we just made a cookie monster :)

Agh. So much fun.
Bye Cupcake.

December 8, 2010

Almost forgot about this thing.

Oh hello.

Remember me? Yeah.
It's been quite a while since I've written a new post.
While sitting trying to study for my American History final,
I finally remembered: Hey, I have a blog!
Random? Yes.

Well a lot has happened since I blogged last.
For example... I am now a ChiO. :)
Yes. I survived club week and I enjoyed every minute of it!
I have made soo many new friends and I love each and every one of them!
I feel so proud wearing my (Addie's) club jersey every Friday.
I feel so important. :)
p.s. I pretty much had the BEST big sisters ever!!
Heather Bloomster and Addie Loeffler are so awesome! :)

Lets see... OH! I also traveled a bunch by myself. :)
Drove all the way home and had a BLAST.
Broken Bow lake with Kaylee, Kim, Karissa, and Laura.
Yummy fudge. :)
Birthdays.
And of course a bonfire with some of the besties from high school.

The very next weekend I drove all 6 hours to Oklahoma City to
see McKenzie, Tim, Austin, and this wonderful lady!

                                   2010                                                                                2006
Probably my favorite picture ever.
Love this girl! :)
She is graduating in 9 DAYS!
And I get to see her!
Pumped.

Well since there were fifty other things that happened since I wrote you last...
Maybe I should just start all over.
*Ahem* Here we go:

Hi. I'm Megan.
This is my blog.

Yeah. That sounds good.

ANYWAYS.
This is my very first dead week in college... I must say.
It's not very dead.
I have my first Spring Sing meeting this week!!!!
Can't you tell I'm excited?
This is the reason I went to college. :)
Just kidding... but really.

I am SO ready for this semester to be over. You know why?
I'm gonna be moving in with THIS girl! :)
This was at the oh so awesome... Broomball!
We were "spinning" each other around.
It didn't work out so well. :)
I am suuuper excited for her to be my roomie!
We are already making plans for next semester...
like renting a puppy for a weekend.
Yes. A puppy.
And did I mention that there already 9 other ChiOs down my HALL? :)
And even MORE great girls upstairs!
I hope you understand my excitement.

This looks like a long enough post. :)
Maybe I'll keep it up next time!

Oh. And deleted Twitter account.
Surprisingly I haven't missed it.

Ok.
Bye Cupcake.

Geek in the Pink

Tomorrow.

So excited.

And guess who else I get to see!?
We're gonna party like there is no tomorrow.
Well, at least till 1... Because that is curfew.

After a week full of mixers, tests, and loads of laundry, I need this weekend.
I had two mixers this week: Iota Chi and Chi Omega Pi.
For the Iota chi mixer, we had to dress up as rockers while the members wore nerdy outfits.
It was fun. met a lot of people. Not sure if it's for me though.
Chi Omega Pi, however, seemed to suit me very well.
We dressed up as geeks.
I seemed to relate more to the girls in this club.
I met like 5 girls who wanted to be a pastry chef.
Even met one who had their own "underground bakery" at Harding.
Awesome idea.

Well the third mixer for both of these groups aren't until the weekend after next.
I have yet to receive the invitations in the mail but I believe I am going to get them next week.
I'm pretty excited to see the theme for the next Chi Omega Pi mixer!

Thats it for now!
Bye Cupcake.

September 10, 2010

I throw my hands up in the air sometimes.

Today was a good day. :)

1. Got out of New Testament early for everyone naming 25 of Jesus's parables.
2. Muffin Chapel. Yes.
3. Most likely aced my test in statistics... then got out early.
4. Don't have Wellness on Fridays.
5. Made a delicious bacon, egg, and biscut combination thing. So good.
6. Bought a t-shirt to tie dye for the Iota Chi mixer.
7. Worked out with Alyssa.
8. OH... also made brownies. :)
9. Watched When in Rome with Alyssa and Vanessa.
10. And finally raised my bed up high. Hopefully it won't fall in the middle of the night.
11. Also... finally found the best coffee for my new coffee pot. Hallelujah.

Sad news...
1. Kaley doesn't get to come in this weekend. :/
Maybe sometime soon though. :) I miss her!

I went to the meetings for all of the clubs this weekend. There are so many to pick from! But out of all of the ones that I visited, I would have to say my two favorites are Chi Omega Pi and Iota Chi. I am still going to visit more mixers though just incase I might like another one.
Pretty exciting. I'm so ready to make more friends, you have no idea.

Well my room is FINALLY coming together. Maybe when I get a job it will be like I want it to but now its just... eh. Me and Vanessa spent about 45 minutes to an hour trying to figure out what to do. No doubt it will change later.

Thats it for now.
Bye Cupcake.

4. 18th Birthday!

5. Nights with Friends

6. Work Camp

7. San Antonio

8. And finally... SKILLET! :) :) :)

Ah. What a summer.

"Witty Title"

So after numerous suggestions of writing another post, I finally gave in. The bad part: I don't know what to talk about.

So... Just listen to this. :) Not the whole song... Start at around 5:02

Aren't you glad that we don't sing like that in church? I sure am. :) Though it would give me a good laugh.

Anyways. I guess I'll tell you about classes now.
Tuesdays and Thursdays are heaven. I have one class in the morning before chapel and that is it. I have the rest of the day to just hang out, do laundry, go to Wal-Mart. All the good stuff. :) Although, I did find out that going to Wal-Mart earlier in the day does not keep you from all the creepy people. I went at around 10 am the other day and there were just as many old creepy men as if I had gone in the middle of the night. Maybe this is worse than Idabel... maybe.

Well, I have a full day of classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
8 am - New Testament (every morning)
9 am - Chapel (every morning)
10 am - Elementary Statistics (MWF)
11 am - Wellness (MW)
12 pm - Lunch (ever day... duh)
1 pm - Composition 1 (MWF)
2 pm - American History (MWF)

So... I don't get out till 3. Its pretty much high school except I have to walk farther and I get to skip every Tuesday and Thursday.

Well I've started making some friends. No doubt if I join a club I will get more. But Jaime, Weston, and Cara have been a big help in introducing me to people! I can ALMOST remember everyone's name that usually sits with us at lunch when I'm there. :)

Random note: I seriously miss my puppy.
I know I will regret saying that when I visit home but she is just too cuddly!

Other random note: My desk chair allows me to lean back without worry of breaking it. :) I love it.

Ok. Thats it.
Bye cupcake.

August 19, 2010

Never Thought This Day Would Come.

So. I'm here. FINALLY. 13 years of hard work finally pays off... to do even more work. But this is going to be the time of my life and I am ready to experience more than the awesome adventures of Idabel, Oklahoma. I know, its such an interesting town, right?

So here's my day:
Packed my bags.

Said "peace out".

Mom cried.

Dad cried harder.
Said goodbye to the old place...
And said hello to the new.

I'm pretty sure that closet is bigger than mine.
(Sorry Kaylee, I can't find a place big enough to hang it yet!)

Well of course not everything is in its correct spot yet. We still have a few things to buy. I'm sure by the time classes actually start it will look awesome. :) I'm excited.
Sadly, I arrived late to registration so I wasn't able to make it this morning. So I have no idea what I'm doing. Hopefully I'm registering for Impact in the morning so I can get my t-shirt? My roomie said I get one and we're supposed to wear it tomorrow. Hopefully they give me one!

Well thats it for today!
Bye Cupcake.

Oh. And once I got here... I realized I probably have too many movies to keep in their cases. Should probably think about investing in a cd holder.

August 14, 2010

Hide Yo Kids, Hide Yo Wife.

My all-time favorite YouTube video. Well... for now.
There is two videos. The first is the actual interview with the guy. Its pretty funny. You should probably watch it first.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZi6DEJsOJ0&feature=related
And the second.... Well... Here:

Its stuck in my head. Seriously.

Well... :)

August 10, 2010

10 days.

10 days till probably the most important day of my life- moving into my dorm for the first time. Yes, I am ready just in case you were wondering. :) I went a little dorm shopping a few weeks ago and it is such a life changing experience. Yes, looking for the perfect towels/trash cans/bedding changed my life. If I had all the money in the world, I would by everything from PB Teen. My dorm room would look something like this...

But, I am a college student, people. Doubt that will happen. Those yellow pillows are amazing. I don't think they sell them anymore though. :( As you can tell, my colors are yellow and navy blue. I am pretty much starting to fall in love with the color yellow. So bright and friendly. If only I could wear yellow clothes without looking deathly sick. So if I can't wear it, why can't my room? :)

I finally met my roommate! Woo! Her name is Vanessa Cline from California. I've been chatting with her a little bit on Myspace but just about what we're doing for our dorm. :) I'm pumped.

After a few last minute faxes I feel like I am an actual college student. I met one of the professors yesterday at church. I felt so special! :)

However, I am gonna miss my friends a lot!!! :( I'm trying my best to hang out with them as much as I can before I leave! I will be back soon enough for the Idabel/Broken Bow game. Go Warriors! I was thinking that we are going to actually win this year but, poor KJ Rucker, our brand new star quarterback, can't play for some sort of unnecessary reason. But that won't keep me from cheering my team on. I sure hope Red Zone is as good as we made it last year. It better be or I'm hunting some people down! :)

While looking for things online for my dorm, I came across this little number:

Egg & Muffin Toaster:

  • Full-function, wide-slot toaster for toast, muffins, croissants and bagels
  • Egg poaching tray for muffin-size cooked eggs
  • Steamer tray for hard boiling eggs
  • Warming tray for heating pre-cooked meats
  • Easy-to-use touchpad allows you to choose between making toast only, egg only, or both functions together
  • Removable crumb tray for easy cleanup and cord storage

This thing is genius. I might just get one. No need for a kitchen. I might as well buy this and go live in a van down by the river. :)

Bye Cupcake! :)

July 11, 2010

Times like this...

...make me realize that I have the most amazing friends anyone could ask for. You have no idea. They are amazing!
This past week I have had the best time with my closest McCurtain county friends. :) We have had dinner parties, fireworks, and long nights I'll never forget!
I am definitaly going to miss these people when I head to college but I know that I'll keep in touch and make even more friends.
Life seems pretty good these days. College is coming soon and I am so excited! I am going shopping sometime this week for my dorm!
Next week, I am going to work camp at Bole's Children's Home. Hopefully it will be really fun which I'm sure it will. :)
Next, next week, I am going to San Antonio with my family! Yay! I love San Antonio.

Well... anyways.
LOTS of ninja playing
+
an AMAZING youth group
+
LIFECHANGING worship
+
BEAUTIFUL cabin 6
(Yes, I know. I look like I'm trying to win a pageant.)
+
AWESOME pranks :)
=
THE BEST WEEK EVER.

I don't know if you know much about this camp called Mountain Fork Christian Camp? Well I feel like you should know more about it.
Its awesome. I seriously feel like no words could describe the way I feel when I am at this camp.
Sad to say, this was my last year and I am going to miss it terribly. :( I have met some of the most amazing people here who will be my lifelong friends!
Obviously from the pictures we have tons of fun all week long. I learned a new game called "ninja". I promise, it is the most addicting game ever.
We also have way too much fun pulling pranks. :)
I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but Jerry's cupcake has hot sauce, spanish paprika, and jalapeno seasoning in it. Lets just say Jerry was very surprised. :)
Not only is this camp so much fun, it is also life changing. You have no idea how this camp has helped me in my walk with God.
You know those hotel commercials where the guy's battery is running low? Thats pretty much how I am when I go to camp. By the end of the week I am fully charged and ready to go back out into the real world and face all the challenges he gives me.

Thats all for now!
Bye cupcake!
